2048 PORTALS

Delete your 2048 Portals account and data

Last updated: 21 July 2026

This page explains how to delete your 2048 Portals account and the data associated with it. You can do it yourself inside the app, or ask us to do it for you — you do not need to have the app installed to make a request.

See also the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Do I even have an account?

Only if you chose to sign in. 2048 Portals is fully playable as a guest: if you have never signed in with Google, no account exists and nothing about you is stored on our servers. Your progress, settings and best scores live only on your device, and uninstalling the app removes them.

Option 1 — delete it in the app (immediate)

  1. Open 2048 Portals.
  2. Open Settings (the gear icon).
  3. Scroll to Account.
  4. Tap Delete account, then confirm.

This removes your leaderboard entries first, then the account itself. It takes effect straight away and cannot be undone.

"For your security, please sign out, sign in again, then retry." Google requires a recent sign-in before an account can be deleted. If you see this message, sign out, sign back in, and repeat the steps above.

Option 2 — ask us to delete it (no app required)

Email vrovsky@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address you used to sign in.

We use the sending address to locate the account, so please send it from that address — it is how we confirm the request is yours. If you cannot, tell us the display name shown on the leaderboard and roughly when you last played, and we will try to identify it.

We will confirm once the deletion is complete, normally within 30 days of the request.

What is deleted

Data What happens
Account identifier (Google sign-in) Deleted
Display name and profile photo URL Deleted
Leaderboard entries (name + score, all board categories) Deleted
Crash diagnostics Not linked to you after deletion; the identifier is removed
Game progress, settings, best scores Stored only on your device — delete the app, or use Settings → Reset progress & best score

What is kept, and why

Backups are purged on their normal rotation, so a deleted record may persist in an encrypted backup for a short period before it ages out.
